Mr. Arsenio-Trey Medrano
​Director of Bands

Mr. Medrano will be entering his seventh year teaching and first year as Director of Bands at Stockton Junior High School. Prior to his appointment as Director of Bands at Stockton Junior High School, he was the Director of Bands at Washington Junior High School. His responsibilities include directing the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band I, and Concert Band III. Bands under the direction of Mr. Medrano have received consistent Division 1 Ratings at the annual UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest. As a native of Austin, TX, Mr. Medrano graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.M. in Music Studies. While at UT, he was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Trombone Choir, Longhorn Marching Band, and the Northside Trombone Quartet. He was a finalist in the 2012 Big XII National Bass Trombone Solo Competition, winner of the 2012 TCU Fort Worth Trombone Summit National Bass Trombone Competition, received Honorable Mention in the 2013 International Trombone Association Yaxley and Kleinhammer competitions, and winner of the 2013 International Trombone Association Quartet Competition with the Northside Trombone Quartet. In his free time, Mr. Medrano enjoys traveling, playing sports, and discovering new restaurants.

Mr. Kevin Wilson
​Assistant Director of Bands

​Mr. Wilson is excited to be entering into his first year with the Stockton Junior High School band program and his second year as a teacher. Mr. Wilson directs the Symphonic Band, Concert Band II, and Percussion. He holds a Bachelor's of Music Education degree from the University of Houston. While at U of H, he was a part of the Symphonic Winds, Jazz Ensemble, Spirit of Houston Marching Band, and Cougar Brass. Outside of school you can find Mr. Wilson walking his dogs, carpentry, or going to bed an hour early.
